Our Division:

Belonging to production Control Manufacturing Support Division (PC/MS),Vehicle Logistics Group (VLG) is responsible for the distribution of globally produced vehicles (Japan, Europe & S-Africa) to our European retailers, as well as for the global export of European produced vehicles.

These vehicles arrive from the different manufacturing plants to our strategically located hubs (logistic centres) where they are stored, customized, inspected and transported to the next delivery point (port, intermediate compound or final retailer).

Those operations are done by different external Logistics Providers (LP), where in most of the cases a team of Toyota members are ensuring the operations run smoothly.

Our team:

In order to support the above, you will be joining our team in the Vehicle Logistics Center in Malmo, Sweden

This team is responsible to guarantee that our Logistics providers perform all the operations related to storage, movement, accessory installation and delivery to our final customers in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland and Baltic States within Toyota Safety & Quality standards, while reaching the required Environmental and Productivity targets.

 

 

 

Your responsibilities:

Within this team you will primarily be responsible to improve Safety and Quality of the
operations in the workshop where we install many different accessories into
the vehicles before delivery to the final customer (Post Production Options)

The main tasks you will be responsible for

• Communicate and train the Logistic provider on Toyota Safety & Quality Standards to the Logistic Partner
• Improve those standards in strong collaboration with our Logistics partners and their group leader/team leaders
• Perform regular audits with a clear report
• Ensure the main Safety and Quality issues are identified and daily tackled by the team on site
• Analyze, develop and get agreement for any required structural Safety and Quality improvement
• Ensure those improvements are implemented in the workshop
• Grasp on daily/weekly/monthly basis the Workshop Safety and Quality kpi evolution, and lead the logistics partner on the required improvement actions
• Summarize the current Safety and Quality status of your workshop to Toyota management on a monthly basis with the proposed improvements and status
• Train the trainer in case of any new installations
• Lead the analysis and communicate of any Safety and Quality problem to our Brussels Quality Dept.

Your assets:
• You have a university degree either in Engineering (Automotive, Mechanical or Business Administration)
• You have practical engineering experience
• You are hands on and you feel comfortable on the shop floor
•High affinity with automotive and technique
• Strong quality mindset
• Dynamic team player with strong communication skills
• Ability to think creatively and generate new ideas to solve problems after deep analysis (based on Go & See)
• Result driven, problem solver with strong Excel skills.
• Capability to make decisions based for day-to-day operational problems
• You are self confident and able to influence an organization
• Proficiency in English, any other language will be considered as an asset
• Valid driving license for Europe
• Willing to travel (few days per month)
